Oh my, it's been awhile since I was last on the blog!  Things have been busy around here with the family so I haven't had much of a chance to up date things here.  I have a few new flower presses that I will share soon.  But today is Sharing Sunday and I have a special one for you.

I don't know if you've heard but our precious bees are dying at alarming rates.  And without bees we have will have no food to eat.  Well, real food anyway.  I don't know about you but I far prefer real food over processed, factory made artificial stuff.

Recently, scientists discovered that a pesticide called “neonics” is the cause of the bees dying.  Sadly, big retailers are still selling the products that contain these deadly pesticides. If we can get just one of them to stop then the others will follow and stop selling them too.

It’s Sunday!

And that means another edition of Sharing Sunday is here!

Recently I was introduced to the art of needle felting.  I’d never heard of it before.  I knew about wet felting but this new idea of using a needle intrigued me.  I have been learning about it and bought a kit and some beautiful roving and will soon attempt to try my own hand at it soon.

In the meantime I wanted to share some very talented artists and their needle felting work.  Some of it just blows me away!  For instance, TangleWoodThicket makes the most gorgeous dragons that stand a few feet tall and are full of colour and whimsy.  FunFeltbyWinnie and MiloandBen create a softer, gentler feeling that’s full of character and makes wonder about the stories each piece holds inside.

This week is a little different.  Some people love tattoos and others are completely against them. 

I don’t have any tattoos myself but I’ve thought about getting one many times.  There’s a few reason’s why I haven’t taken the plunge but I won’t go in to that now.  Tattoos can be incredible pieces of art and the people who tattoo are very, very talented.  I have a lot of respect for them.  A little while back I came across these little gems.  What a super fun alternative to the permanent kind!

Whether you call it March Break, Spring Break or something else we can’t escape the fact that it will be here before we know it and we’ll have little kids (or older) that will be wanting something fun to do.

This week I have discovered some wonderful, magical and imaginative items your kids to play with.  Encourage them to use their creativity and imagination and get them away from the TV or video games, at least for a little while.

There are so many incredible artists and creations out there in the universe of handmade.  So much inspiration and talent to be shared.  And with Pinterest and Instagram and other social sharing sites getting more and more popular it's hard not to be overwhelmed by everything we're presented with.
