We had a very busy summer and enjoyed every bit of it! It was nice to take a break from work but now it's time to back at it.
Well....maybe in another week. Instead I'll share our backyard s'mores experiment with you.
I'd read or seen somewhere that on a hot day you can make s'mores without a bonfire. So, I thought it would be a fun experiment for the boys and I to try. It worked out pretty well but I think we left them just a little too long.

Started with graham crackers, yummy chocolate, marshmallows and pieces of foil. |
Arranged our ingredients on the foil... |
And wrapped them up. |
Placed them outside in the hot summer heat and waited. |
We left them for about an hour and the chocolate was really runny. Depending on how hot it is outside, 30 minutes is probably best. These were very yummy even if the marshmallow wasn't roasted. Both my boys gobbled them up so it's something we'll probably be doing again. : ) |
