Day #2

I decided to walk into town today to return some library items. Walked under the train bridge and across the hwy. Saw a strange chocolate milk display in the fence and a rock sculpture at the library. Completed 5.5k today.

Day #1!

Today is International Polar Bear Day and day 1 of the Toronto Zoo Move Your Paws challenge. I have set myself a goal of walking or running 5k everyday of the challenge. Today I walked 6k in the pouring rain. Not exactly how I imagined the first day of this challenge to go but I'm glad I got myself out there and now have the first day under my belt. Here are a couple of pictures. My phone hates the cold and its storage is almost full so I wasnt able to take too many. Plus, the weather wasn't the greatest and there weren't many picture wirthy moments to be had. I brought an umbrella with me but decided not to use it as the wind was strong enough that it would have made it more of a chore. I proudly wore plastic shopping bags in my shoes to keep my feet dry. No, I don't own any other footwear that would keep my feet dry AND comfortable for this type of excursion. It was one or the other and I chose comfort. I am happy with how well I faired. I was dry and toasty warm when I got back home again.
